x THE BASIC FIVE (action)

We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both!
- Justice Louis Brandeis

If you are like many concerned citizens, you have decided you have had enough and need to get involved in repairing our broken political system and fixing the problems facing our society for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
But it is not enough to be concerned, we must turn that concern into activism to create a society that values 'people, planet, and peace above profit'.

Here is a plan to get started:

A.  Print this action information sheet (HERE) and fill in the contact information for your elected officials (HERE) and use it often.

B.
Start by taking action on these Basic Five!

1. Registered to vote and VOTE each year. Carry voter registration forms in your car so you can give them to people not registered.
2. Sign up for a weekly MegaVote email about how your national officials are voting
Click HERE to receive a weekly report when Congress is in session.
3. Add your name in support of the American Anti-Corruption Act (HERE) and the 'Move to Amend'  (HERE)!
4. Sign up for the 'Reclaim the American Dream' (HERE) and Democracy 21 (HERE) for regular updates.

5. Call just one of your elected officials each week and ask them to support efforts to repair our economic and political systems or an issue you care about. Click HERE and enter your address for a list of your national and state officials.  Put  the contact info for your elected officials on the action information sheet - HERE and use it often.
